WHAT ARE 'MUDRAS' ?
Mudras are symbolic hand gestures used in Yoga, Meditation and Indian Classical Dance.
When we do specific hand gestures, that energy flows into particular areas of the brain, causing different effects on our physical and non-physical bodies. Mudras redirect our energy flow, linking our individual energy to the Universe.
In Indian Classical Dance, they are also used symbolically as mimic gestures to tell a story or to evoke different emotions or concepts. When we use Mudras in dance, it is as if we were speaking without words.

The First chakra is located on the base of the spine and it is connected to our basic needs.
The Second chakra is below the navel and relates to creativity and reproduction.
The Third chakra is situated over the stomach and it is our source of personal power.
The Fourth chakra is in the middle of the chest and relates to love and empathy.
The Fifth chakra is located in the throat area and it represents the ability of speaking our highest truth.
The Sixth chakra is between the eyebrows and it is connected to intuition and a wider vision.
The Seventh chakra is on the top of the head and it is related to spiritual perception and enlightenment. .
The practice of Natyoga - accompanied by healthy life habits - contributes to a good functioning of the Chakras.
